A chalet of charm

The 1828 is a mazot, a tiny original Savoyard chalet, which was once a granary. It was erected in 1828 respectfully adhering to the traditional architecture of our region. In this place with a soul, steeped in history, a project was born. Upon deep reflection, our desire was to keep the "spirit" marrying it evenly with tradition and modernity.

Dismantled and reassembled piece by piece, new life is breathed into it here in an outstanding environment surrounded by nature and bordered by an enchanting stream.
Each stage of its reconstruction, of its evolution, was exquisitely studied in the minutest detail.
The most skilled craftsmen had the greatest pleasure in expressing their talents, the finest materials have naturally taken their place and equipment of the highest quality has been selected.
Today after two years of work, here is the final outcome; the fruit of a tireless but loving, rigorously hard labour. Old Italian marble covers the floor, warm-toned fabrics adorn the windows, whilst the bathroom and kitchen provide an ultramodern and functional twist.
Tailor-made furniture in old wood from 1828 enhance its originality.
Early seventeenth century engravings, works of Savoyard folk art and a touch of the contemporary blend to create the cosy warmth of this small space.
This Mazot, of simple luxury has an identity, a charming elegance all of its own.
An exceptional atmosphere and an Alpine style reign in this little human nest.

This little chalet consists of a living area with kitchen, a shower room, an upstairs bedroom, a large sunny terrace and a small storage space for skis in winter for example. 22,5 m2 of living space on 2 levels.
In order to preserve its originality, some of its characteristics are quite unique.
The bedroom, for example, has a very low ceiling and is accessed by a steep narrow quirky staircase, whilst the entrance has a threshold which must be straddled.

In order to make your stay as pleasant as possible, we personally prepare the mazot ensuring everything is in order for your arrival down to the minutest detail.We shall personally welcome you, to aquaint you with the mazot and provide you with all the information you may need for your stay and beyond.
We shall be in regular contact wiht you throughout your stay to ensure total satisfaction.
Upon your arrival, inside the mazot we will provide all the basic requirements for your breakfasts, lunches & snacks :a fresh fruit basket, a Nespresso machine with an assortment of capsules, chocolates & biscuits, various quality teas, organic teas & Savoyard herbal teas, chocolate powder, milk, sugar, bread, muesli, jams, butter, etc… local groceries, mostly organic : rice, pasta, oil, vinegar, etc… and an assortment of beverages : organic fruit juice, Mont-Blanc beers, mineral waters, various sodas, etc…
Your 180 wide bed shall be prepared for you, but may at your request be arranged as twin 90 wide beds.
A set of linen, towels, bathrobes and beauty products will be available in the bathroom.Less than 7 days : prices & availability on request…
Storvatt at your disposal: one free bath per stay, prepared by us (request to be made in advance).
